No-oil Tandoori Chicken

Thought: What if you get to eat the very yummy Tandoori chicken completely oil-less? Exciting isn't it? This is my very own recipe for you. Do try it out guys.


You can make Tandoori paneer, fish, gobhi and other tandoori items as well using this recipe of mine.


Ingredients:
  • 250 gm of chicken
  • 1/2 cup curd 
  • 3-4 tsp of chicken masala
  • 2-3 tsp roasted cumin-coriander powder
  • 2-3 tsp chilli powder
  • 2 tsp of turmeric powder
  • 3-4 tsp ginger garlic paste (2:3 ratio)
  • 1/4 tsp vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp soya sauce
  • 1/2 tsp tomato ketchup
  • salt and sugar as per taste
  • 2-3 large onions cut into cubes
  • 1 large green capsicum cut into cubes
  • 1 tomato cut into cubes
  • Some wooden toothpicks or satay sticks

Method:
  • Mix all the ingredients nicely (except the sticks/toothpicks obviously) in a large bowl. Keep the marinate aside for 4 hours minimum. Also, don't forget to put deep cuts on the chicken pieces so that masala goes well inside them.
  • Preheat your oxy-fryer or air-fryer @180 degrees for 3-4 mins. Then put the chicken pieces inside it and oxy-fry it @180 degrees for 20 mins. Turn the chicken sides after 10 mins for even cooking.
  • Take a toothpick or satay stick and prick onion, capsicum and tomato pieces together one by one.Repeat for rest of the onions-capsicum-tomatoes.
  • Then add the sticks with veggies to the oxy-fryer besides the chicken pieces and set it @200 degrees for 15 mins. Do check in between. If you want better burn effect on the pieces, put it @200 degrees for another 8-10 minutes.
  • Serve with coriander or any chutney of your choice.
