Tawa Fish Biryani

Thought: Now make the exotic Tawa biryanis at home. My simplest and least time consuming recipe.


You can make tawa biryanis using paneer, tofu, veggies, soya chaap and boiled meat of your choice .


Ingredients:
  • 4-5 pieces of fish of your choice
  • 2 medium onions finely chopped
  • 3-4 tsp of ginger garlic paste (1:3 ratio)
  • 2 tsp of red chilli powder
  • Some chopped green chillies and coriander leaves
  • Some chopped mint leaves (optional)
  • Some chopped lemon leaves
  • 3-4 tsp of lemon juice
  • 1 tsp of turmeric paste
  • Some whole dried red chillies and bay leaves
  • Some ghee and mustard oil
  • Salt and sugar as per taste
  • saffron milk (optional)
  • 1 tsp of Garam masala
  • 1.5 cups of rice

Method:
  • Cook the rice till 60-70% and drain the water completely.
  • Take a tawa. Add some oil. Add the onions, red chilli powder and some salt. Once onios are fried add the fish pieces.
  • Then after 5-6 minutes, add the ginger garlic paste, turmeric paste, green chillies, lemon juice and garam masala.
  • Add drizzles of water to avoid burning. Add the rest of the ingredients along with the half cooked rice. Cook it for 10 minutes on low-medium flame while covering it.
  • Serve hot with raita and chutney of your choice.
