Masala Doi Rui (Masala Curd Rohu)

Thought: This is my very special recipe of masala doi rui in the simplest and less time consuming way.


You can try this with chicken, other big fish of your choice, paneer, tofu and soya chaap as well.


Ingredients:
  • 300 gms of Rui (Rohu)
  • 2 medium onions finely chopped
  • 1 cup of plain curd whisked
  • 10-15 raisins
  • 2 tsp of ginger paste
  • 2-3 tsp of red chilli powder
  • 1.5 tsp of cumin powder
  • 1 tsp of garam masala
  • Some chopped green chillies and coriander leaves
  • 2 tsp of turmeric powder
  • Some ghee and mustard oil
  • Salt and sugar as per taste

Method:
  • Mix all the ingredients except the oil/ghee and keep it for an hour to marinate.
  • Take a non stick pan add some oil and then add the marinated mixture.
  • Cook it till the fish is soft and tender. Add water to avoid burning.
  • Add some ghee and serve it hot with rice or bread of your choice.
