Bhapa Paneer (Steamed paneer)

Thought: An easy and quick veg recipe with less ingredients is what i thought of making today.


You can try this recipe with any kind of fish, chicken and tofu as well.

Ingredients:

  • Paneer cut into cubes
  • Some curd
  • Salt, chilli, turmeric, sugar as per taste
  • Poppy seeds (posto) and some Mustard seeds paste (5:1 ratio)
  • Mustard oil
  • Some chopped coriander leaves
  • Green chillies


Method: 

Mix all the ingredients and keep it for 2-3 mins. Then, steam it either in microwave or in a steamer.

In case there's no microwave or steamer, take a tight steel container with lid. Boil some water in a pan. Put the container such that 1/4 of the container is dipped inside water. Steam it for 10-12 mins. Check the softness of the paneer. If paneer is soft and tender and the gravy has left some oil , it's done. Serve it hot with rice, chapattis or puri. 🙂
